Police probe armed robbery at Colborne convenience store

A man brandishing what appeared to be a gun robbed a convenience store in Colborne on Tuesday night.

Northumberland OPP responded to the robbery at Mister Convenience store on Toronto Street around 10 p.m.

Police say a lone man wearing a white mask entered the store. The suspect showed the clerk what appeared to be the butt of a handgun tucked in his waistband.

He demanded money and the clerk complied. The suspect then fled the store on foot. The clerk was uninjured.

The OPP Canine Unit and Emergency Response Team (ERT) conducted a search of the area but was unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as  Caucasian, 6-foot-0 (183cm), thin build, wearing ripped blue jeans with holes in the knees, a black ‘ECKO’ sweater with a hood over a red shirt and blue running shoes with white soles.
