Bell’s Garage on Ward Street in Bridgenorth has been recognized for its many years of service. And as Steve Guthrie reports, it comes as the County plans some major changes to the street:
This summer as part of its consumer engagement program, Shell picked dealers across the county take part in a surprise event to reward regular customers with prizes and giveaways. They picked Bell’s for its many years of service by their family to Shell.
Byron Bell: By not advertising the event ahead of time, most of the people who stopped by over the noon hour were bells regular customers.
Michelle Spink, Shell Fuels marketing: When Bell’s first went into business, Ward Street, which forms part of Chemong Road through the Village of Bridgenorth was a dirt road. Traffic through the village can be very heavy, especially in the summer. But plans are moving forward to widen ward street and bell says they will move forward with it.
Wednesday county council approved plans to consider the ward street widening project environmental assement into the 2017 budget. If that is approved planning for construction can begin.
