Peterborough police continue to investigate a possible stabbing that happened this afternoon.
Lindsay Biscaia reports…
It happened just before 2 at this apartment complex on the corner of Water Street and London Street.
Syd Birrell owns a rental property next door to where the incident happened.
He says he got a call from his tenants saying the gate leading to the backyard at the house had been broken.
“Someone ran, broke down my fence, escaped through my backyard, discarded a gun,” he told Newswatch.
Police remain tight-lipped as to what actually happened Tuesday.
All they’re saying is that a man turned up at the police station on Water Street covered in blood.
He was taken to hospital… BUT there’s no word on the extent of his injuries.
Meanwhile, Birrell says the activity in the house next door is nothing new to him or others living in the neighbourhood.
“My tenants shouldn’t have to live with this kind of fear of what’s going to happen next. I wish there was an answer I wish the policing was able to deal with it, I wish the courts would follow through,” he said.
