Woman, 64, thwarts would-be robber

Kawartha Lakes Police say the woman was approached just before 5 a.m. September 1 as she was leaving a bank machine on Kent St. West in Lindsay. Despite being threatened with violence, the woman fled to her car and sounded the horn. The robber fled eastbound on Kent Street, empty handed, on an older bicycle.

The robbery suspect is described as male white, male white, with dark hair, 5-foot, 8-inches with a skinny build. He was wearing a hoody over a red t-shirt.
