Arrest made in bear-spray robberies

A man was arrested after a convenience store robbery in Peterborough on Saturday afternoon.

Around 4:40 p.m. police responded to a store on Armour Road after a man entered with a kitchen knife and a can of pepper spray demanding cash from the register. Police say he took a large quantity of cash and fled. No one was injured.

The suspect was located a short distance from the store.

Jesse John Moore, 21, of no fixed address, was charged with robbery. Police later charged him tow two more counts of robbery in connection to two stores being robbed on Sept. 8. He’s also charged with breach of probation.

He was scheduled to appear in Wash court on Sunday, Sept. 11.
