Murder methodically planned and carried out: Crown attorney

On September 26, 2013, at about 11:30 p.m.,
Wendy Taylor arrived at her Valley Road home.
According to the Crown attorney, she was murdered shortly after opening her garage door, struck repeatedly in the face and head with a sledge hammer…
Stabbed 15 times in the chest. After falling to the ground, a playing card, the Queen of Spades, was placed on her neck.
Days later, her husband Iain Taylor was charged with first degree murder.
The Crown attorney says police found several notes on Taylor’s computer, in which he described his marriage as loveless, and described Wendy as a miserable person, in one note writing, “Wendy has learned how to piss me off, and she does it in spades.” The Crown also alleges Taylor was having an affair with a woman he met online.”
Speaking to Jurors the Crown says Taylor searched the Internet weeks before Wendy’s murder,
Googling, “how to commit the perfect murder,” and, “how to kill your spouse,” along with researching recipes for various poisons.
The Crown saying the searches indicate a murder that was methodically planned and carried out.
The trial is expected to take five weeks.
