A Peterborough-area man previous charged with fraud through his roofing company has, once again, been arrested for scamming customers.
Kawartha Lakes police say Randy Davis, 55, has been charged with Fraud under $5,000 after an investigation that began this month regarding a company called Canadian Contracting.
In 2014, Northumberland OPP charged Davis, then 53, with Fraud over $5,000 and four counts of Fraud under $5,000 after an investigation involving driveway paving and roofing frauds affecting 19 victims in an area spanning Bancroft, Lakehurst, Bobcaygeon, Northumberland County and Peterboorugh. A second man was also charged at this time. The company names at that time were Kawartha Paving and Maple Leaf Paving. Both men pleaded guilty to one count of Fraud over $5,000. Davis was given a 15-month conditional sentence, six months house arrest, and 100 hours of community service. He also paid back the money he took.
