Provincial police recognized several of their own officers for bravery and outstanding service at an awards ceremony in Ottawa Monday.
Sgt. Jeff MacKinnon, P/C Boyd Croghan, P/C Holden Smith and P/C Marcus Bardy were all awarded the Commissioner’s Commendation for Exemplary Service While on Duty in Dangerous Circumstances. They were presented with this award as a result of their response to an assault call, where the officers came under fire. No one was injured in the incident.
Provincial Constable Kyle Storey was also awarded the Commissioner’s Commendation for Exemplary Service While on Duty in Dangerous Circumstances, resulting from his ability to subdue a suspect after the suspect attempted to overtake him and his partner.
