(Updated) Vigil planned for teen victim of crash

A candlelight walk is being held tonight in memory of the 19-year-old man killed walking home from work Wednesday night in Cobourg.

Brodie Lock died shortly after being hit on Elgin Street just east of Brook Road north in Cobourg just after 9 p.m. The busy stretch of road was closed for several hours.

Police have not released the man’s name. Family on social media have identified him as Brodie Lock.

The walk will start at 7 p.m. Friday September 30 at Elgin and Brook …. in a symbolic effort to light Brodie’s way home.

Police are looking for witnesses to the accident particularly the driver of a white SUV which may have been in the area and possibly witnessed the accident.
