Curve Lake man dies following explosion

Peterborough, ON, Canada / (CHEXTV)

A 67-year-old resident of Curve Lake has died, after suffering burns to much of his body in an explosion Thursday.

Anishinabek Police say about 10:20 p.m. they were called along with fire and paramedic personnel to a report of a structure fire on Ninotig Street on the Curve Lake First Nation.  Authorities say Kenneth Taylor, 67, had attended to his generator when an explosion took place. Nearby residents provided life-saving measures until paramedics transferred him to Peterborough Regional Health Centre.
