Thieves target RV lots

Provincial police are investigating thefts from RVs parked at trailer sale and storage facilities.

Peterborough County OPP say thieves targeted Peterborough RV Centre on Highway 7 overnight October 3. They say suspect(s) entered the rear yard of the business and stole eight RV deep-cycle batteries valued at $2,000.

Peterborough RV Centre was again targeted by thieves overnight October 12. In this incident two more batteries were stolen, an RV was damaged and a television removed.

Overnight October 5, 2016 thieves stole similar items from RVs parked at Recreational Sales and Storage on Chemong Road. Items taken are worth $10,000.

Investigators are actively looking for information that may assist in identifying a suspect or suspect(s) in this case. Police urge the public to call in tips on this case, or others, to the Peterborough OPP at 705-742-0401, the non-emergency line (888) 310-1122 or to Crime Stoppers.
