The federal government has given the Raise the Barn campaign at Lang Pioneer Village a financial lift.
A fundraising campaign continues for a new agricultural heritage building at Lang in Keene.
The building will include an agricultural hall of fame, displays, equipment and more.
In the spring the province committed $150,000 for the estimated $2-million project.
Today during Peterborough County Council, Warden J. Murray Jones said Ottawa will be providing $970,000 for the project.
A formal announcement is expected to be made next month. The County hopes to open the building next year.
