We’ve got an update on a black lab who was rescued almost a month ago from an apartment on Goodfellow Road.
It happened on December 9th, after weeks of complaints from concerned neighbors.
This pup, along with a bearded dragon, were taken from the apartment by SPCA officers.
Tenants in the building called the SPCA regularly, complaining the dog was constantly crying and barking.
The owners were nowhere to be seen.
Senior inspector with the OSPCA, Bonnie Bishop, says both animals were seized by officers after they were deemed to be in distress.
She says both are still in good hands..
“Both animals were examined by a veterinarian, both animals remain in the custody and control of the Ontario SPCA, and they’re receiving the care that they require.”
Bishop says the investigation is still ongoing, so they can’t give details on the animals conditions.
It’s also not yet known whether either will be going up for adoption when the investigation is completed.
