There will be no inquest into the death of a troubled young Cobourg boy.
Chazz Petrella, 12, took his own life in August 2014. At the time, several agencies were involved in coordinating his mental health support, and he was awaiting care. The night he died, his parents took him twice to Emergency at Northumberland Hills Hospital; both times, he was sent home, not admitted to hospital.
A regional coroner decided last year to forego an inquest, but Chazz parents had appealed the decision, pushing for an inquest in the hops of preventing similar deaths.
The appeal was turned down Tuesday.
