A year-long study by the Art Gallery of Peterborough has resulted in a new five year strategic plan that is now public. . . and is becoming even more widely known, thanks to a new communications co-ordinator whose job it is to encourage community engagement in the gallery, especially over social media.
While the plan maintains the gallery’s focus on art that confronts what it calls the “big issues,” one of its hallmarks is that it promotes outreach to all members of the community – not just artists.
And to increase attendance at the gallery, the strategic plan also calls for signage on the face of the building that backs onto Del Crary Park.
