Updated: Stabbing at Anson House leaves one injured

Peterborough police are on the scene at the former Anson House on Anson Street to investigate a stabbing.
The building is currently owned by Peterborough Housing Corporation and contains 27 apartments for singles and seniors.

Police confirm that a 59-year-old man was taken to Peterborough Regional Health Centre, and later transferred to a Toronto hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have charged Robert Reginald Reay, 46, of Anson Street with attempted murder. They say that Reay and the victim know one another.
