Woodville man charged with sexual assault; knife pulled during fight; teen threatens family with knife

Sexual Assault Arrest:

A Woodville man faces a sexual assault charge involving a teenager on Monday.

The man and female teenager  who know each other, were at a Peterborough residence. During the evening it was reported that the man inappropriately touched the teen.

As a result of the investigation, Justin Kroezen, 27, of Woodville, was charged with sexual assault. He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on March 2.

Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose Arrest:

A man allegedly brandished a knife during a fight on Saturday afternoon.

Police say a man in his late teens and a friend were walking in the area of Park Place and Paterson Street in Peterborough when they encountered three people whom they know.

A verbal altercation took place and then the victim and one of the accused began a consensual fight.

During the dispute, the man brandished a knife and threatened the victim who left the area and called police.

Several units were dispatched to the area. A short time later officers located the trio in the area of Wolfe and Stewart streets.

Trevin James Rodda, 20, of Bethune Street, was arrested and charged with the following:

• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
• Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
• Possession of a schedule II substance (marijuana under 30 grams)
• Failing to comply with a probation order

During the investigation, a woman repeatedly swore and yelled at police, disturbing passerby in the area.

Josslynn Doreen Pearson-Parker, 25, of Wolfe Street, is charged with causing a disturbance.

The third person was found to be breaching his probation order by not keeping the peace and associating with people he is on conditions to not associate with.

Clayton Ray Anness, 32, of Water Street, was arrested and charged with two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.

All three accused were held in custody and appeared in court on February 12.

Assault Arrest:
On February 10, 2017 police were dispatched to a Lakefield residence for a family dispute.

During the dispute it was reported that the accused, a 14-year-old male, had brandished a knife, threatened family members and assaulted a family member.

As a result of the investigation the accused was arrested and charged with assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.

The accused was held in custody for court on February 11, 2017.

Under the Youth Criminal Justice Act the name of a young person cannot be released.
