Pizza delivery driver robbed, injured at knifepoint

A 26-year-old Peterborough man has been charged after a pizza delivery driver was injured and robbed at knife point while at a Hunter Street East apartment early Wednesday morning.

Around 12:20 a.m., police were dispatched to a Hunter Street East multi-unit residence. It was reported the 28-year-old male pizza delivery driver was making a delivery when a man brandished a knife and demanded money.

The deliver driver tried to flee the building at which time he was cut with the knife.

The man fled the with pizza. Officers and EMS attended and the victim was taken to a local hospital where his injuries were treated and he was released.

Shortly after 2 a.m. police located the accused still inside the building.

Cody Craig Patterson, 26, of Hunter Street East, is charged with robbery with a weapon and failing to comply with a probation order.

The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court later today (Feb. 15).

As part of the ongoing investigation police remain on scene.
