The Andrew Watson murder trial has adjourned until Monday, when the accused killer is expected to testify in his own defence.
The 78-year-old is charged with first-degree murder in the disappearance of his ex-girlfriend, 74-year-old Lise Fredette. Despite an intensive search, her body has never been found. Watson was arrested in late November 2014, not long after Fredette went missing.
His case is being heard by a six-man-six-woman jury and could wrap up next week.
