Petes drop game one of Eastern Conference Final

The Peterborough Petes find themselves in an unfamiliar spot this spring — trailing in a playoff series.
The loss to the Mississauga Steelheads on Thursday night was the first of the postseason for Peterborough, who entered at a perfect 8-0.
It was a back-and-forth affair between the #1 and #2 seedsĀ in the East this season.
Peterborough tied the game at 3 midway through the third on a goal by Semyon Der-Arguchintsev.
But a minute later, the Steelheads retook the lead on a beautiful deke by Spencer Watson.
The Steelheads would go on to win game 1 5-3.

Game 2 is Saturday night at 7:05 at the Peterborough Memorial Centre.
