The United Way of Peterborough and District has named its new campaign chair for 2017.
Neil Morton will take over from Gwenyth James.
A graduate of Trent University, Morton co-founded PTBOCANADA.COM and social advertising agency STUDIOPTBO.COM. He also sits on the board of the Greater Peterborough Chamber of Commerce.
“Neil’s leadership style, social media expertise, deep roots in the community, and entrepreneurial spirit are widely known and highly valued,” said United Way CEO Jim Russell.
This year’s campaign kicks off September 19, 2017.
“I am in the midst of putting the final touches on this year’s Campaign Cabinet,” Morton said at a media conference Tuesday. “In fact, I am happy to announce this morning that Robert Gauvreau has agreed to be vice chair for the campaign. I will be looking to round out the team with eager, Peterborough loving champions!”
