Obstruct Peace Officer/Warrant Arrest:

A 23-year-old Etobicoke man has been arrested and charged following an incident at a Peterborough residence on Wednesday evening.

Shortly before midnight on May 10, police were called to a Bolivar Street home for a disturbance involving two males.

Police say one of the males provided a false name.

As a result of the investigation, Joshua Emmanuel Audet, 23, of Redwater Drive, Etobicoke, was arrested and charged with obstruct peace officer and two counts of failing to comply with a recognizance.

Through further investigation, it was determined that on May 2, 2017 a warrant was issued for the arrest of the accused on the charge of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 stemming from a 2016 incident involving a stolen vehicle.

It was also determined there were five other outstanding warrants for the accused on charges including failing to attend court and failing to comply with a probation order. The accused was further charged in relation to the outstanding warrants and held in custody.
