The Peterborough Airport will celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday with “Flying Fortress Week” – a display of vintage, military and civil aircraft.
The July 10-16 event will begin on Monday, July 10 with a Second World War B-17G Flying Fortress bomber named Sentimental Journey at the airport. Flights on the B-17 will take place on Saturday, July 15 and Sunday, July 16th. Tickets for flights are available to purchase at:
On that weekend there will be other aircraft on display along with a fly-in and display by the Canadian Owners and Pilots Association.
The Loomex Group will also have their jet simulator on display and demonstrations. It’s used for large-scale emergency exercises that include airport staff and response agencies. The times for the exercises will be posted on the Peterborough Airport website at www.peterboroughairport.com.
