Six people were taken to hospital – one airlifted to a Toronto hospital – following a T-bone collision near Keene on Thursday night.
OPP say around 9:30 p.m. a Chrevrolet Cruze – which was travelling on Villiers Line – failed to yield to the right of way at the stop sign at County Road 2. As it entered the intersection, it collided with a westbound Pontiac Torrent.
Police say the Cruze was carrying 6 occupants who were all injured including a 35-year-old Brampton woman who was airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre for life-threatening injuries.
The Torrent had two occupants who were treated at the scene with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Peterborough County OPP closed the intersection for more than 5 hours as they investigated.
Police are appealing to potential witnesses to the collision. Anyone with information is asked to contact Const. Jason Katz at 705-742-0401 or 1-888-310-1122 through the Provincial Communication Centre.
