Driver pulls imitation firearm on motorcyclist in Uxbridge

A 36-year-old male has been arrested after a road rage incident Wednesday night in Uxbridge.

Durham Region Police say around 8 p.m. a motorcyclist and a man driving a car got into a dispute over the right of way while travelling in the area of Reach Street and Lake Ridge Road.

The driver of the car then pointed what appeared to be a firearm at the motorcyclist. An officer saw the altercation and pulled them over.

A replica firearm and oxycodone were discovered in the car.

Lawrence Keenan, 36, of no fixed address has been charged with: weapons dangerous; uttering threats; using imitation firearm in commission of offence; dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and possession of a Schedule I substance (Oxycodone). H

He was released on a promise to appear with conditions.
