Lindsay school principal seriously injured in cycling collision near Warsaw

A Lindsay cyclist was airlifted to a Kingston hospital with serious injuries following a collision on Thursday night just south of the Village of Warsaw.

Peterborough County OPP say just before 7:30 p.m. a trio was cycling on Peterborough County Road 38 when one of the riders hit a pot hole.

That led to a chain-reaction crash.

A 49-year-old man was airlifted to Kingston where he remains in hospital in critical condition. Friends say he suffered head and internal injuries.

The other two riders received minor injuries, police said.

The road – also known as South St. – was closed all evening as police investigated.
