Born and raised in Grandview, Manitoba, Tyler comes to the Kawartha region with a love for sports and a passion for broadcasting.

Tyler holds a diploma in Media Productions from Assiniboine Community College in Brandon, Manitoba.

Prior to his arrival at CHEX in April of 2009, Tyler spent five years as a sports reporter and anchor at Global Winnipeg.
He’s held various positions during his television broadcasting career, including sports anchor/reporter with CBC Winnipeg, photojournalist with Global Winnipeg, and videographer/photojournalist at CTV Yorkton in Saskatchewan.

The highlight of Tyler’s broadcasting career was a trip to Soldier Field in Chicago, for a two-part feature on Bears defensive tackle Israel Indonije, who grew up in Manitoba. According to Tyler, “You haven’t lived until you’ve watched a football game with 60,000 screaming Bears fans.”
