A recent graduate of the Broadcast Journalism program at Loyalist College in Belleville, Jaye also has a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications from York University in Toronto.

She hails from eastern Ontario, and worked for the Toronto Sun newspaper before making the decision to pursue broadcasting.

While studying at Loyalist, Jaye worked on weekends as a morning radio news anchor for MIX 97 and 800 CJBQ in Belleville.
