Newswatch Staff Profiles Ryan Snoddon Weather Specialist Ryan Snoddon was born way back in 1983… in God’s town… ok maybe not… it was actually Pefferlaw, Ontario. (Just south of Lake Simcoe) While growing up on a Beef cattle farm, Ryan discovered he had a love for weather, but never ever dreamed he could make a career out of it. After 19 years of tossing bales, chewing straw and mucking stalls, it was off to Bellevegas (Belleville), where Ryan attended Loyalist College for Broadcast Journalism. In the second year of his program, he was hired as a weekend anchor at CJBQ 800/Mix 97 in Belleville. Upon graduation in June of 2004, Ryan then landed a job in Peterborough at the Wolf 101.5FM and 980 KRUZ. At that time, he also began working at CHEX TV as a part-time as a reporter. In September of 2004, Ryan landed his first dream job, working with Jay and Alana as Morning show Co-host at the Wolf... where he learned that waking up at 4:30am can take years off a person’s life! Two and half quality years later… Ryan’s second dream job came knocking. He began is position as the new Weather Specialist at CHEX Television in March of 2007 and is "literally, happier than a pig in...mud."
