What’s it all about….

CHEX Television, The Wolf 101.5 FM Radio, AM 980 Kruz Radio, Kawartha Chrysler Jeep Dodge, Subway and the Peterborough Lakefield Community Police Service are pleased to bring you a community partnership aimed at keeping the children of our communities safe.

According to RCMP National Missing Children’s Services, 50,000 cases of missing children are reported in Canada each year. You can be prepared to provide law enforcement officials with vital information about your child by participating in the Ident-a-Kid program.

Ident-a-Kid will provide parents and/or guardians with a laminated photo-identification card complete with their child’s name, date of birth, height, weight, eye colour, hair colour, any medical conditions, distinguishing marks as well as the parents/guardians name and address. The card is meant to be kept by the parent/guardian only to be given to the police in a case of emergency. Also included in the Ident-a-Kid package are free safety tips for parents and children from Child Find Ontario as well as a checklist of things to do in case of an emergency. The cost of each Ident-a-Kid card is $2.00, with some of the proceeds being donated to local children’s charities.

The Ident-a-Kid Team will be on location at various events throughout Peterborough and surrounding areas on a regular basis.
Times, dates and locations of Ident-a-Kid events are promoted in advance on CHEX Television, The Wolf 101.5 FM and AM 980 Kruz radio stations as well as on the station’s websites.

Our Ident a Kid events go from 10am to 2pm.
The only location which is the exception to this is Lansdowne Place Mall location which has a 9am to 1pm time slot.
There is NO CHARGE to get your CHILD'S CARD.

How do I get Ident-a-Kid at my Event?

Depending on availability, Ident-a-Kid may be able to come to your business or community event.
