Late January is an OK time to start seedlings indoors. Be careful however, not all plants are suited for an early start. Typically geraniums, begonias and a great many perennials can be sown before the month's end.
Venus Fly Trap I suspect was the progenitor for the movie “Little Shop of Horrors”. These carnivorous plants however, remain rather small in stature but with large appetites for meat.
