Police credit bystanders with steadying vehicle after rollover

Police are commending the actions of a number of by-standers when a vehicle rolled on its side after a collision on Kent Street West in Lindsay on Saturday.

Kawartha Lakes Police and other emergency services were called after the collision occurred shortly 1 .m. Upon arrival police found that two vehicles collided causing one vehicle to roll on its side. Officer say bystanders immediately steadied the vehicle preventing it from rolling on its roof and causing further damage and possible further injury to the occupants. Four people from the accident were transported to hospital after being extricated from the vehicle.  All sustained minor injuries.

Officers on scene commented on the community teamwork, caring and compassion that was shown by the people who did not hesitate to get involved in a possible dangerous situation.
