Man killed when car crashes into cement rail abutment

A 70-year-old Clarington male died when his vehicle collided with a railway overpass.

Police say at 12:30, officers were called to the scene a single motor vehicle collision.  They say a driver was operating a black Dodge SUV southbound on Bragg Road at a high rate of speed when the vehicle struck a rail-bridge abutment. The driver sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced at the scene. He was from Oshawa.

The scene was closed for several hours while evidence was collected.
