Jury ready to debate fate of accused murderer

The fate of Andrew Watson will soon be up to the jury in his murder trial.

The 79-year-old has pleaded not-guilty to killing his ex-girlfriend, 74-year-old Lise Fredette. The Peterborough woman was last seen November 12, 2014.

Watson’s trial in Superior Court began four weeks ago. The judge is expected to give instructions to the six-man, six-woman jury today before it retires to discuss a verdict.
