Three facing charges for drugs, weapons

Friday afternoon, officers with the Peterborough Police Service’s Intelligence, Crime Analyst, Asset Forfeiture and Drug (ICAD) Unit executed a search warrant at a Talwood Drive residence.

Then at 5:30 p.m., officers stopped and searched a vehicle near Clonsilla Avenue and The Parkway.

About an hour later, officers searched a Goodfellow Road home. . . . Police say they seized drugs, brass knuckles, a prohibited knife and Canadian currency during the raids.

Charged:

Jayson McConnell, 31, of Talwood Drive, is charged with the following:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (Hydromorphone)
  • Possession of a schedule II substance (marijuana under 30 grams)
  • Unauthorized possession of weapon (brass knuckles)
  • Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order X4
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Fail to comply with a probation order

Latisha Peplinski, 28, of Talwood Drive, is charged with the following:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (Hydromorphone)
  • Possession of a schedule II substance (marijuana under 30 grams)
  • Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Fail to comply with a probation order

Milton Roberts, 46, of Goodfellow Road, is charged with the following:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance (cocaine)
  • Careless store of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition X4
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
