Cafeteria employee exposes himself to child

Indecent Act Arrest:
A 47-year-old Peterborough man has been charged with indecent act and indecent exposure following a late May incident.

On the afternoon of May 26, officers were called to a Hospital Drive address for an indecent act.

It was reported that while inside the cafeteria an employee exposed himself to a child under 16 years of age.

Police were called and attended. As a result of the investigation, the man was placed under arrest and charged.

Jeffrey Paul Masterson, 47, of Charlotte St., is charged with:

• Indecent exposure to a person under 16 years of age
• Indecent act – public place

He was released from custody on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear again in court on June 22.

Sexual Assault Arrest:
A man has been charged with sexual assault and assault following domestic-related incidents dating back to 2013.

The accused, a 27-year-old Peterborough man, and the victim, a woman in her 30s, are currently in a domestic relationship.

In May of 2017 the accused and victim became involved in a verbal argument during which time the victim was assaulted and sexually assaulted.

The incident was reported to police in early June 2017. During the investigation it was revealed that the victim had been assaulted and sexually assaulted by the accused on two other occasions dating back to 2013.

As a result of the investigation on June 3, the accused was arrested at a Peterborough address and charged with the following:

• Sexual assault X3
• Assault X3
• Fail to comply with a probation order X2

The accused appeared in weekend and statutory holiday court on June 4, was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear again in court later today.

The name of the accused will not be released in order to protect the identity of the victim in this domestic incident.

Mischief/Drug Arrest:
A Toronto man is facing mischief and drug charges following an incident at a Hunter Street West bar.

Shortly before 2 a.m. on June 3, police were dispatched to a Hunter Street West establishment for a report of a male who had spray painted inside the bar and washroom area.

When officers arrived they saw the male suspect running from the security staff at the establishment.

Police located the suspect on the roof of a nearby building where, as a result of the investigation, he was placed under arrest for mischief.

During the arrest an amount of cocaine and marijuana were located on the accused.

William Randolph Florence, 29, of Perth Avenue, Toronto, is charged with the following:

• Mischief under $5,000
• Possession of a schedule I substance (Cocaine)
• Possession of a schedule II substance (Marijuana under 30 grams)

The accused appeared in weekend and statutory holiday court on June 3, 2017, was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on June 15, 2017.

Over 80mg Arrest:
A 59-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges following a Saturday afternoon incident.

On June 3,  at approximately 4 p.m. police were dispatched to the area of Fairbairn Street and Towerhill Road for a car in the ditch.

When officers arrived they located the male driver of the vehicle. A subsequent breath sample revealed the driver had more than twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system.

As a result of the investigation Paul Andrew Schauber, 59, of Hemlock Street, Peterborough, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with more than 80mg blood alcohol content.

The accused was served a 90 day licence suspension and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on June 29.
