Suspect sought in pair of thefts

Police are releasing a surveillance image of a suspect wanted in connection for two recent incidents in Bowmanville.

On Friday, May 26, around 6:50 a.m., a male was seen wandering around the parking lot of Greeley Steel and Surplus on Baseline Road East near Liberty Street South. A short time later, he was seen driving off in a stolen transport truck.

On the same day, at approximately 8:00 a.m., a male was found wandering inside a residence near Liberty Street South and Baseline Road East. The male left the scene on foot. After that break and enter, a male was seen walking in an adjacent parking lot peering into vehicles.

The suspect in both incidents is described as male, white, age 25 to 35, approximately 5′ 8″ to 5′ 10” tall with a medium build, dark hair and scruffy short beard. He was wearing black sweat pants, a dark jacket and a black shirt with a Philadelphia Flyers logo. He has possibly has a tattoo of a spider on his neck.
