The Peterborough Petes are looking overseas for their next player.
They originally were scheduled to pick 43rd and 103rd in the two round CHL Import Draft, but six teams have passed in the first round, so the Petes have moved up to 37th.
The Petes will pass on their second round selection.
The Barrie Colts have the top pick.
The draft starts at 11 AM on Wednesday and can be tracked here: http://chl.ca/draft/2017
Last year, the Petes picked forwards Matyas Svoboda and Igor Martynov.
Svoboda played for the Petes last season.
He had 8 goals and 5 assists in 62 regular season games.
He added another two points in the playoffs.
The Petes returned Martynov to Belarus.
Head coach Jody Hull says the team will focus on defence in this draft.
