 Newswatch Staff Profiles Teresa Kaszuba Anchor/Producer: Newswatch @ 5:30 Sugar Bush Festivals near Warsaw, outdoor movie night at the Peterborough Zoo, church picnics, feeding the horses at the old Morrow Park stables, Crary Park concerts and school fun fairs! These are just a few of the community events Teresa fondly remembers attending with her parents and brothers and sister, when she was growing up in Peterborough. "You don't have to spend a lot of money, you don't even need to travel far, " Teresa says, "to make family time and community involvement a fun and valuable part of your life. You just have to know where to go!" Teresa's voice may be familiar to many Durham residents, she was Mid-Day Announcer for MAGIC @ 94.9 from 1995-1999. Her part-time job with CHEX TV-DURHAM turned full-time in August of 1999. While there, her key duties include organizing and hosting Discover Durham, writing & hosting "Check It Out" (an on-air TV program guide), and writing & hosting an entertainment report for the Friday edition of "First Take with Dan Carter".
Midway through May of 2002 saw Teresa refocusing her energies to join Newswatch @ 5:30 on CHEX TV Peterborough. Teresa's wonderful interest in the people and events of the community makes her a welcome addition to the Newswatch team! |
